SARACleaning

SARACleaning is a preparation process for timber that have never had anything on it. Grey dead fibres are loosened and removed during the process. Mould, fungus and mould spores are killed and removed.

The top boards in this photo are covered in mould, fungus and lichen.

The bottom two boards have been SARACleaned

This cedar has been SARACleaned.

Beneath that stained grey lies beautiful cedar.

"WOW" when your beautiful cedar is uncovered!!

Stripping

Stripping removes film formers, stains, varnishes from the timber surface

This cedar has been coated with a film former which has broken down exposing the cedar to the weather and UV light

When film formers break down the timber is no longer protected and will be damaged by our harsh UV light and weather.

Broken Down Film Former This cedar garage door has been coated with a film former (varnish)which has also broken down exposing the cedar to the weather and UV light

Stripping film former Here are one of our expert cedar restorers stripping away the film former to reveal beautiful cedar beneath.
