Q: Why do we use CD50
?
A: GoodWoodGuys believe in preserving timber, highlighting its grain
and extending it's life using non-toxic products.
CD50 is non- toxic and preserves the timber by penetrating deep inside. CD50 highlights timber grain rather than covering it up as film former do.

Q: Can GoodWoodGuys remove other stains from my cedar?
A: GoodWoodGuys can strip any stain to reveal near new cedar. These
Products are classified as film formers which protect the timber by
enveloping with a film i.e. stains, paints, varnishes, waxes
etc.etc.
Products that we have stripped are Wattle Forestwood, Dulux Integrain, Sikkens, Drydens WoodOil, Cabots, Varnishes and some acrylics and enamel paints.
Q: Is the restoration process messy?
A: During the SARACleaning or Stripping processes timber residue is removed from the timber surface. This residue is captured and removed by us.
Q: Is CD50 safe and environmentally friendly?
A: CD50 contains Copper Quinolinolate (Copper 8). This is an extremely effective and safe preservative. It is safe for humans and animal contact, and for the environment. CD50 has very low VOC,s.
Q: Can restoration be done during the winter months?
A: Restoration can be carried out all year round. During wet weather the GoodWoodGuys carry out preparation work. CD50 application is carried out in dry weather.
